You cant directly attach files in Microsoft Word mail merge. Instead, youll need third-party Add-ins like the Outlook Mail Merge Attachment (OMMA), Merge Tools Add-In, or Mail merge toolkit.
Under your name and title, type Enclosure: or Attachment: to indicate that youve included additional documents. On the next line, provide a brief description of the contents.
Here are a few examples of how to mention email attachments: Ive attached my resume here. Please see the attached budget report. Heres the PDF file you asked for. Please find attached the cost breakdown. Youll find the attachment below. The requested document is attached to this email.
Send multiple attachments to each recipient Open the Google spreadsheet for the mail merge. In Google Sheets, select Add-ons Yet Another Mail Merge Start Mail Merge. Click + Alias, filters, personalized attachments. Select Attach files in column to emails sent, and click Back. Click Send emails.
The email and Word documents that are created by the process both need a Template to be first set up. Create a Word Template with the details of what will be included in the attachment. In this example, the Word Template is Change of Address. Create an Email Template with the text that will be in the email that is sent.
Microsoft Word/Excel and Outlook dont have the ability to add PDF attachments in a mail merge either. You need to use third-party services/add-ons such as docHub to do a PDF mail merge.
Drag-and-drop embedding Email providers, like Gmail, allow you to drag an image from a folder and drop it into an area inside the compose box that says attach files here. Gmail will automatically embed the image and realign it so its in line with the rest of the plain text.
