now lets use autofill to extend a pattern for days of the week and dates first type a day of the week you would like to start with will start with Monday press Enter or tab to complete the entry select the cell with a click hover over the bottom right corner until your cursor turns to a skinny black cross click and drag down now before you do anything else notice the autofill options this little box there if you like click and choose fill weekdays and Saturday and Sunday are not included anymore now lets try autofill with a date type October 1st 2010 press enter or tab to complete the entry select hover click and drag down and again check out the autofill options this time click and choose months isnt that cool
