There are two type of metadata to be found in a pdf file - the document metadata and the object metadata. The document metadata is information about the document as a whole - such as the name of the file, creation date, name of the author. You can view the document metadata with docHub Reader or docHub Pro.
View status history of a PDF file Open a document for viewing. In the top right click the Info button which is the letter i in a circle. A drawer opens from the right-hand side with 4 tabs. The Activity tab shows all actions taken on the document, including when and by whom.
Choose the hamburger menu Document Properties (Windows), or File Document Properties (macOS). Select the Description tab, and type the authors name, subject, and keywords.
Select Fill Sign on the right side of the screen. Choose the Add Text tool, which looks like an upper-case A next to a lower-case b. Click anywhere in the PDF where youd like to add text and start typing.
If you right-click on your PDF document and then go to Properties - Details, you will see the Remove Properties and Personal Information button.
To check, open your PDF document in docHub. Choose File; then Document Properties. You should see information that indicates the Author of the document.
