hey guys its Eddie the magic monk in this video we want to talk about vlookup in excel so the first thing I want to do in Microsoft Excel 2016 is I want to make up a small table so in this table Im going to use something that I regularly use as a teacher and that is to convert a grade between a grade with letters to a grade with numbers so lets see it so here I have just typed in some grades A plus - E - and Im gonna convert each grade to a number so a plus would be 15 14 13 12 11 and just fill down oops fill down to the end so I have a plus is 15 and E minus is 1 ok so now what I want to do is I want to write a little formula called vlookup so that if I have a student so lets say I got student and lets say I have John Philip Eddie I have their grade so lets say John got an A - Philip got a b-plus Eddie got a c-minus I want to be able to get their numerical values numerical grade so the way I do that is I write a little vlookup so what is vlookup so V look at what it does is le
