In Microsoft Word, automatic hyphenation is turned on by default for normal paragraphs (using the Normal style) so Word may insert hyphens and break words across lines. Your paper should be double spaced unless otherwise specified by your unit assessor. There should be no extra spacing between paragraphs. This does not include the title page (see Figure 1), within tables and figures, footnotes or equations. Your paper should have a 1in.

Line spacing determines the amount of vertical space between lines of text in a paragraph. By default, lines are single-spaced, meaning that the spacing accommodates the largest font in that line, plus a small amount of extra space. Paragraph spacing determines the amount of space above or below a paragraph.
