However, it can be difficult for employees to deal with everybodys request at once, then send out notification emails, as well as create calendar events accordingly. As such, in this episode, I will share a script that helps approve time request from a Google Sheet, sends notification emails, logs each activity in an automated manner, and creates a calendar event. Determine the need. A manager may request an employee take leave for many reasons. Consult with Human Resources. Arrange a meeting with the employee to determine his reasons for not taking leave. Explain the need for leave. Include a mandated leave policy in your employee handbook.
Planning Your Time Off Request Give advance notice. Know your employers vacation policies. Make sure youre caught up. Youre asking for time off, not telling. Dont ask during crunch time. Asking when youre the new kid. Consider getting it in writing. Make sure key players know youll be away.
