If you want to delete only some comments, some notes, select cells with these comments and notes and click the Delete button in the Comments group on the Review tab.
If you have multiple sheets selected (grouped), the Comment option is disabled.
Option 1: Use the Go To Function Select the worksheet where you want to delete comments, then press F5. Click Special, select Comments, then click OK. Open a context menu with right-click, then click Delete Comment.
Removing the cell description when hoving over a cell Select the cell. Activate the Data tab of the ribbon. Click Data Validation. Activate the Input Message tab. Do you see the description there? If so, clear the check box Show input message when cell is selected, and click OK.
