You can cancel, archive, and delete orders. Canceling an order means that youre stopping an order thats in process. Archiving an order means that youre done with the order and want to remove it from your open orders list. Deleting an order means that you are removing it from your Shopify admin.
Add, delete, or change the customer for an order You can adjust the customer information on a POS order. To change the customer on an order, you need to delete the current customer and then add the correct customer.
Once youve edited your orders in either Shopify or Edit Order, youll need to refund your customer any amounts that you owe them. This can happen in one of two ways: Edit Order automatically refunds your customers for any initial edits on an order. You manually refund your customer through Shopifys refunding process.
You are required to refund the canceled order to cancel the transaction fees under all circumstances. You will not be charged for the transaction fees only if Shopify has not issued a bill when the order is being refunded.
