Select the paragraph or paragraphs you want to indent. Click the Home tab, and then click the Paragraph dialog box launcher. Under Indentation, in the Before text box, click the arrow to set the measurement you want, such as 0.5. Note: One-half inch is the typical measurement for indenting a paragraph.
Set defaults for new text boxes in a publication Right-click the text box that has the formats you want to use as the default. On the shortcut menu, click Format Text Box, and then click the Colors and Lines tab. Select the Apply settings to new text boxes check box. Click OK.
To format line spacing: Select the text you want to format. On the Home tab, locate the Paragraph group, click the Line Spacing command, then select the desired line spacing option from the menu. The line spacing will be adjusted.
To change the slide size: Select the Design tab of the toolbar ribbon. Select Slide Size. near the far right end of the toolbar. Select Standard (4:3 aspect ratio) or Widescreen (16:9) or Custom Slide Size.
Select the Character Spacing tab. In the Spacing box, select Expanded or Condensed. Next to Kerning for fonts, adjust the number in the Points and above box. Alternatively, if you want to turn off kerning, clear the Kerning for fonts box.
To apply a specific spacing, select the text, click Line spacing and choose between Single, 1.15, 1.5 or Double.
