hi everyone I didnamp;#39;t expect to have so many people asked me how I did my typesetting on this thing I just posted so Iamp;#39;m gonna make a really quick video showing you what I do this is just my current work in progress is only the first couple paragraphs but itamp;#39;s all that we really need in order to show how I make a heading for my chapters I always try to start it down a little bit on every page I donamp;#39;t think it matters how many times you hit Enter as long as youamp;#39;re pretty consistent with every chapter but you end up with something that looks like this really boring but a good place to start the first thing I do is I take the first sentence and about halfway through that first sentence I put it in a nice font but when Iamp;#39;m currently using is Celtic Garamond Pro rough I purchased it online and Iamp;#39;m not sure from where but they are available and then you go to insert youamp;#39;re gonna go to drop cap and youamp;#39;re gonna go to dropp

Where kerning involves the spacing between two letters, tracking involves the spacing throughout the entire word. In practice, a typesetter will first set the kerning and then, with great restraint, adjust the spacing equally between all letters simultaneously.
About kerning and tracking Kerning is the process of adding or subtracting space between specific pairs of characters. Tracking is the process of loosening or tightening a block of text.
Kerning will be most important for large, highly visible text like typographic logos or headlines. Although most of us dont use physical blocks of type anymore, the digital fonts we use work in a similar way.
The traditional term for line spacing is leading (rhymes with bedding ), so named because traditional print shops put strips of lead between lines of type to increase vertical space. Sometimes you see this term in typesetting software. For most text, the optimal line spacing is between 120% and 145% of the point size.
