Google Docs currently doesnt feature changing letter spacing. Yet, you can try to use the Lexend fonts to give an illusion of increased letter spacing. But, you can also adjust the letter spacing of the text in Canva and insert it as a PNG image in Google Docs.
With the text selected, use the Font options drop-down to select the font you want to use as your default font in Google Docs. Next, click the Styles drop-down menu and hover over Normal text. Select Update Normal text to match. This will apply your chosen font as your new default font when typing normal text.
Open the Format menu. Select line paragraph spacing. Here you can either select the Add space Before Paragraph, Add space after paragraph, or use the Custom Spacing option to manually select a narrow or wide spacing.
On your Android phone or tablet, open a document in the Google Docs app. Tap Edit . Double-tap the place in your document you want to edit. Move the blue markers to select more text. Tap Format. tap Text. In the menu, tap Style, Font, Size, Text color, or Highlight color to format your font.
To format paragraph spacing: Select the text you want to format. Click the Line spacing button. Select Add space before paragraph or Add space after paragraph from the drop-down menu. You can also click Custom spacing to fine-tune the spacing.
Click on the Format menu at the top of the page. Select Text and then Font size. In the font size drop-down menu, select Custom spacing. Adjust the kerning by using the Letter spacing option.
Make sure your file isnt too large to be edited. Clear your cache and cookies. Turn off browser plugins or extensions in Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer, or Safari. If you arent able to edit without an Internet connection, turn offline access off and then back on.
