Now thereamp;#39;s a thing called ALC. and thereamp;#39;s a lot of people who think that you need to have a high ALC or a low ALC and effectively it is a good thing to have an alc that is not over driving especially with digital if youamp;#39;re overdriving that alc you will get maybe a splattered signal and iamp;#39;ve found this setting it works for me it might not work for you but this is how i found it to work in my case and thereamp;#39;s a very simple way you can actually find what your radio is doing especially on the IC 7300 it might also work for the 705 and some of the other variants that actually show the audio meter letamp;#39;s go over to the radio and iamp;#39;ll explain a bit more so here we are on the Icom 7300 and you can see this little display he
