On your Mac, choose Apple menu System Settings, then click Appearance in the sidebar. (You may need to scroll down.) Select Light, Dark or Auto on the right. Light is a light appearance that doesnt change.
If you are a Microsoft 365 subscriber, you can also choose between two themes when your Mac is using a Light appearance. To change the theme, click on the menu for your Microsoft 365 application (Word, Excel, etc.) and select Preferences General. Under the Personalize section you can configure your theme.

Go to System Preferences Displays. Make sure projector or external display is selected. Use the Use as: drop down menu to select Extended display. You can leave the resolution of your laptop display at its default setting.
Short guide: Click the Apple icon in the top left corner of the screen and select System Settings. Click Accessibility in the sidebar. Select Display from the list of Accessibilty options. Click the toggle switch for Increase contrast.
The projectors image size is determined by the distance between the projector itself and the screen. You can adjust the screen size by repositioning the projector, the image size and the distance needed will be shown in the projector users manual. Some projectors also come with a zoom ring for the finer adjustment.
To open these settings, choose Apple menu System Settings, then click Displays in the sidebar. (You may need to scroll down.) Arrange the position of the displays, mirror their content, or relocate the position of the menu bar.
Check settings on your Mac Choose Apple menu  System Settings (or System Preferences). Click Displays. Make sure that your TV is selected in Display Settings, then adjust picture size using the Underscan setting, if available for your TV.
