if I want to use width settings in the C++ then I can do that using a method called width that is associated with C alt and the way it works is this if I see out something to the screen lets say its hello um by default theres not any sort of width that is going to be placed next to it um so if I do that and then I see out lets do a number 999 thats just going to be next to each other when it comes out on the screen let me show you that play this case so here is once this loads up to do hello and then a nine right next to each other what I can do is I can force that stuff to take up a certain amount of space on the screen so I can do see a lot width and inside here I can put a width I would like it to take up and it will essentially use some other character to fill the space thats left over so lets say I want hello to actually take up ten spaces on the screen that word is only five letters long lets see what that looks like when I run it it shifts it over and it pads with space
