[Music] hi everyone in this short video i will show you how to update the table of contents in the capstone template one of the most helpful features of the template is the easily updated table of contents for purposes of this demonstration ive assembled a skeleton template using the dissertation template notice that ive already included some of the main headings for chapter one again you can open up the styles menu and see that these are tagged appropriately its very important to make sure that all of your headings are properly tagged lets say for example down in chapter 2 you decided to type a new heading and instead of tagging it properly you bolded it if you bold it rather than tagging it it will not appear in the table of contents so make sure each heading starts as clean body text highlight and strip out any inappropriate formatting by making sure that the text is clean body text and then apply the appropriate tag lets do another one to clean body text again and apply the ap
