The settlement agreement is a very comprehensive document that includes all of the terms of your agreement. If youre going through divorce and you dont have children, then its a much more simple document as far as you are just addressing division of assets, division of debt, potentially some alimony. If you have children, its a more complicated document in the sense that in addition to the assets and debt, you also address custody, visitation, and child support. These are in different documents.
