While a building may be built without an adjacent road, survivors cannot work in or use the building until a road is built alongside the structure. To be usable, a road must connect o the central road encircling the Generator.
Right button down on mouse and drag. That rotates any ploppable thing.
Some buildings can be placed partially underneath elevated roads (depending on the height of the road), but elevated roads typically require support pillars, which limit the usable space beneath them. Road height can be adjusted by using the PAGE UP and PAGE DOWN keys while building the road.
Click on the portion of the road that you want to change, and drag it in your desired direction. If a road is facing to the north, dragging the cursor south will change its direction. Dragging the cursor over multiple segments of the road will change the direction of all highlighted.
First, choose the desired road type from the road construction menu, then choose the Replace tool mode. Target a road segment with the cursor and click on it to turn it into the new road type. If players are placing a one-way road, click and hold while moving the cursor in the desired direction.
The final tab, Adjust Roads, allows for the player to adjust what is considered one road, which is based on its name. A green line will appear to highlight the road, with dots on either end that can be dragged to adjust the road. There will also be a dot between the endpoints on the road segment that was clicked on.
The way the game decides which way the road should go initially is by checking where the road begins and ends. Simply put, the road goes in the same direction the player moves their cursor in. To reverse the road direction, simply cancel the construction and start again from the old endpoint.
How to Change the Direction of a Road. To reverse the direction of a road, simply click on the Roads tab and then select the Replace Tool Mode from the toolbar. Now, find the road you wish to change, and then use the left mouse button to click and drag the new one-way road in the direction you wish the road to travel.
