hi welcome to Excel tosh.com today we are going to learn how to set the cell who width and height in inches and centimeters so normally if you try to put the column width you cannot give any unit to it because this is in pixels so what we will do we will go to the View tab first click on page layout of view something like this will happen now you can select a column and go for column width and you can actually give I in if you give to I n it will be second to inches if you give do cm will be set to two centimeters this way if you want a four by four box you can say for centimeters and also take a row lets say the sixth row and set it to 4 cm now this particular box is a 4 centimeter by 4 centimetre box thank you for watching

If you embed objects (such as an Excel worksheet) in your Word documents, this will increase the size of your files. Try to avoid embedding if you need to reduce file size or convert embedded objects to pictures. To convert an embedded object to a picture, select it and then press Ctrl + Shift + F9.

TIFF and PNG format Scan your document at a lower resolution (96 DPI). If you dont have a scanner, take a photo with your cellphone, and choose a smaller image size. Use the Crop feature to remove all empty space around the image. Reduce the image size. Save the file in JPG format instead.
When youre ready to change the paper size of a Word file, open the document and navigate to the Page Setup group in the Layout tab. Here, click Size. A drop-down menu appears in which you see a generous list of paper sizes. Just select an option from this list to change the paper size of the entire document.
Option 2: Scale to paper size and print using Microsoft Word Open document in Microsoft Word. Select File Print Choose 1 Page Per Sheet Scale to Paper Size Select Letter 8.5 x 11. This will scale the entire document, regardless of its original size, to fit on an 8.5 x 11 page when its printed.
