today Im going to show you how to distort text without rasterizing it and keeping it completely customizable in Photoshop so here we have a text layer press ctrl or command T right click on it as you can see distort is grayed out so usually what we do we right click here and choose rasterize type but the problem is you can press ctrl or command T you can choose distort and you can make those changes and then press Enter or return but the problem is you cannot change the text now right so instead of doing that I suggest you do this lets go back right-click and choose convert to smart object now you can press ctrl or command T to right click on it and choose whatever you want lets choose distort and distort it the way we like just hit Enter now you might think hey how do I change the text of course you can double click on the thumbnail it opens up another document you can make any change you want if you want to extend it you can do that as well use the crop tool and just extend it hit

Resize a shape On the View tab, in the Show group, click Task Panes, and then click Size Position. Select the shape you want to resize. Enter the width and height values for the shape. Press Enter or click another value to make the new value effective.
Select the picture, shape, WordArt, or other object to resize. Under Picture Tools or Drawing Tools, on the Format tab, in the Size group, enter the measurements that you want into the Height and Width boxes.
On the Drawing Tools tab, in the Insert Shapes group, click Edit Text. Type the text that you want. To change the text formatting, select the text, click the Home tab, and then change the font, size, color, or any other attribute that you want to change.

Then, when you decide what you want in the text box, you can edit the contents and, since the Resize Shape to Fit Text check box is selected, the text box resizes to accommodate your text.
Under Text Box Tools, on the Format tab, in the Text Box Styles group, click Change Shape, and then click the shape that you want.
Rotate or flip shapes To rotate the shape counterclockwise, on the Home tab, in the Arrange group, click Position, point to Rotate Shapes, and select Rotate Left 90.
