CNAME is a standard DNS record that redirects your domains subdomain to another domain or hostname. This is its main and the only goal. The TXT record works in a different manner. The TXT record holds human and/or machine-readable text. It cannot redirect your domain to anywhere.
Step by step create a TXT record inside the zone file: Login to your DNS server as administrator. Launch the DNS Management Console. On DNS Manager window, expand your DNS name. Right click on your domain name and select Other New Records to add a new TXT record.
Create a TXT record on your domain Log into the One.com control panel. Click DNS settings on the Advanced settings tile. Go to DNS records. Under create new record, click TXT. Enter the following details: - Leave the hostname empty, or add a subdomain. Click Create record to save your settings.
Edit a TXT record Sign in to your GoDaddy Domain Portfolio. (Need help logging in? Select. Domain Edit Options next to your domain and then select Edit DNS. Select. Edit next to the TXT record youre editing. Edit the details for your TXT record: Name: The host name for the record. Select Save to complete your changes.
