Thatamp;#39;s your recording input level. So your input level determines how much volume youamp;#39;re getting from the mic. Of course there are a lot of other factors like how close you are to the mic, how loud youamp;#39;re speaking, things like that. Even the ambiance of the room can effect the recording level of the mic. But you have a control that you can use to increase your recording level or decrease it. For most apps this control at the system level is whatamp;#39;s going to be used. Chances are, youve come across iMovie on your Mac. Its a pretty nice movie editor. If you need to crop a video, for example, after a screen recording, you can do it with the iMovie app.
In the QuickTime Player app on your Mac, open the movie you want to trim, then choose Edit Trim. Drag the yellow handles in the trimming bar. The area outside of the yellow handles is the area to be trimmed. Tip: To make more precise edits, click and hold a handle to see individual frames of the clip.
In the Voice Memos app on your Mac, select the recording. Click the Edit button in the upper-right corner to open the recording in the Edit window. If you have a trackpad or a Magic Mouse, click or tap with two fingers on the recording in the list, then choose Edit Recording.
How to trim a video on your Mac Open the Photos app and double-click the video that you want to edit. Click Edit. Move the sliders on both sides of the video timeline to change the start and stop times. To preview your trimmed video, click the play button . Click Done, then click Save Video or Save Video as New Clip.
Choose Apple menu System Settings, then click Privacy Security in the sidebar. (You may need to scroll down.) Click Screen System Audio Recording on the right. For each app listed, turn the ability to record on or off.
Heres how to edit and save screen recordings in QuickTime Player: Open the screen recording you want to edit. Select Edit in the menu bar, then click Trim. Click and drag to trim the video on either end.
