if you scan a QR code it actually shows you the stored URL to the website that it usually takes you to but QR codes can store binary data and I am trying to figure out if I can store an entire book in a bunch of QR codes but how much data can a QR code store QR codes range from version 1 which is the smallest QR code all the way up to version 40 which at this point can store about 1852 characters in order for me to do this I needed a book and this book is called circumfusion it was written by our community and is about 250 pages long I opened up visual studio code and got a text-based reference to the book next I used the hashabsart engine and wrote some custom plugins and give it a run and in our temp directory we should find all our QR codes now if I open my camera app I can actually see the text popping up at the bottom
