today Tony and I are going to talk about all of the factors that go into getting these sharpest possible pictures the first thing that I want to start with is extremely simple and thats to make sure that your gear is clean so many times people have smudge marks on their lens on the front or back or they have a ton of sensor dust and so you can just do a quick check and make sure thats not the problem another big point is to make sure you have enough light so often people dont realize how low of light theyre shooting in because your eyes just naturally adjusts in a low-light setting if youre in a low light situation make sure that your aperture is wide open thats a small number like 1/4 and make sure youre letting in as much light as possible and thats gonna put less noise in your photos and make them cleaner and sharper to demonstrate Ill take a picture with a strobe with plenty of light and one without and you can see the difference so you can see that the photo with less lig

In portrait mode, go to the top right corner of the screen and tap on the Depth button which is a circle with the letter f in it. If you didnt know, the f stands for f-stop and is a measurement used for the aperture on a camera lens.

After you take a picture in the iPhones portrait mode, you can open it in the Photos app, and adjust a slider to change depth of field. The slider provides an f-stop range from f/1.4 to f/16.
Open your portrait photo in the Photos app and tap Edit. Next, tap the f/number icon at the top left of the screen. Beneath your photo, youll see the Depth slider. Drag the slider left or right to make the background blur stronger or weaker.
