Word doesnt offer an easy, built-in option to easily rearrange pages if you dont use headings. The only way to do it is to cut and paste the text and manually rearrange it instead. To do this, find the starting position for the content youre looking to move.
To change the numbering alignment, go to Header Footer Page Number Page Number. Choose the alignment you want and select OK.
Remain on the View tab, go to the Zoom section of the ribbon, and click Multiple Pages. Your document will instantly change to display more than one page at a time. How to Set the Number of Pages to Display. Your document will then adjust to the number of pages you set for each row. Exit Multiple Page View in Word.
Right-click to move a page On the page sorter, right-click the page number that you want to move, and then click Move Page on the shortcut menu. In the Move Page dialog box, select the options that you want, and then click OK.
To change the numbering format, go to Header Footer Page Number Format Page Numbers. Select the format you want, and then select OK. To change the numbering alignment, go to Header Footer Page Number Page Number.
At the top of the page, before the first line/word, click on the document to place your curser. Then choose Page Layout from the top menu. Next select Breaks - Next Page. Now choose Insert from the top menu and then select Page Numbers and then choose how you want them to appear in the document.
To ensure your pages begin with 1, go to the Insert tab Page Number. Select Format Page Numbers Page numbering Start at and add 1.
Start page numbering later in your document Go to Insert Header or Footer Edit Header or Edit Footer. Select Different First Page. In the header or footer area, you should see a label on the first page that says First Page Header. Select Close Header and Footer or press Esc to exit.
To choose a format or to control the starting number, go to Header Footer Page Number Format Page Numbers. To change the numbering style, select a different style in Number format. To change the starting page number of the newly created section, select Start at, and then enter a number. Select OK.
Place your cursor at the beginning of the page that you want to move, hold the shift key and press page down. Press Control + X to cut the text block and move your cursor to the new placement and press Control + V to move the page to its new location.
