Format one or more cells Open a spreadsheet in the Google Sheets app. Tap a cell, then drag the blue markers across nearby cells you want to select. Tap Format . In the Text tab, choose an option to format your text. Bold. In the Cell tab, choose an option to format your cell. Tap the sheet to save your changes.
Add a theme Open a spreadsheet in Google Sheets. At the top, click Format. Theme. Choose an available theme or click Customize to create your own.
Heres what you can do: Apply Bold to add weight: Highlight cells in your header row with some fill color: Set the horizontal alignment for the labels. To make your Google Sheets table format more convincing, separate your header row visually from the rest of the data by adding the bottom border:
Change your view On your computer, open a document, spreadsheet, or presentation. On the toolbar, click View, then click an option. Exit full screen.
To change the way some table elements look, click on the unit right in the table preview. Tip. Press and hold the Ctrl button on your keyboard to select several elements and customize them in one go. Multiple selection lets you pick and format several table elements in the same manner without holding the Ctrl key.
You can use the Alternating colors command in Google Sheets. Access the Format option in the toolbar and select Alternating colors to activate the function. On the right-side panel, you can customize the shades, header color, footer color, and so on.
Change the look of a chart On your computer, open a spreadsheet in Google Sheets. Double-click the chart you want to change. At the right, click Customize. Click Gridlines. Optional: If your chart has horizontal and vertical gridlines, next to Apply to, choose the gridlines you want to change.
