hi guys today im doing a video just to show you how to cut led strip kits and the idea behind this obviously if you needed to cut for purposes where it was too long ill show you the correct way of doing that and a way you can extend led strip kits now the thing to note about the strips is the fact that some cant be extended obviously its because the power rating on there and if you do try to extend it what youll see obviously the colors consistent and then if youve gone too long it may start fading out further along the way so its worth obviously docHubing out to the manufacturer to confirm the maximum you can take a strip up to so the strip im using here is by a company called ajax online ill include details in description below so now one of the challenges when youre installing an led strip for instance is if youre going around a corner so when youre going around the corner youll end up with a situation where the corner sort of has to stick up just for it to allow you t

Dimming an LED light is as easy as adding resistors to the connection or even several resistors, to ensure you get the right brightness – this is called analog dimming. In many states, there are regulations to the brightness (and colors) of LEDs on cars, which is why this is important to take note of.
A common brightness-control circuit for LEDs uses an electrically controlled potentiometer (EPOT) to achieve digital control of the LED brightness.
If 5V and 3.3V are applied, 5V makes the LED light brighter. If you want to illuminate the LED even brighter, you either “reduce the resistance” or “increase the voltage”, as explained in the previous formula for the relationship between the current flowing through the LED and the resistance.
Spin the knob of the potentiometer, and the voltage at pin A0 will change. Then convert that voltage into a digital value (0-1024) with the AD converter in the control board. Through programming, we can use the converted digital value to control the brightness of the LED on the control board.
Connect the cathode (short end) of an LED to the end of the 220 Ω resistor that is not connected to the ground column. Then, connect a wire between the anode (long end) of the LED to the chipKIT board's pin 7. Finally, connect pin “B” of the potentiometer to the A0 pin of the chipKIT board.
Touch and hold your device's tile. At the top right, tap Settings . For some Wifi points, you might also need to tap Lights. Under 'Status light brightness' or 'Bottom light brightness', adjust the brightness of the device's light.
There are two methods for adjusting the brightness of the LED: Modify the value of the resistor. Simply connect a potentiometer in series with the LED to change the brightness by adjusting the resistor value. ... Quickly switch it on and off. Another technique is to quickly turn the LED on and off.
Because you have not set pin 3 to be an output it is an input by default. Therefore doing a digital write to it is just turning on and off the 30K or so internal pull up resistor. This is enough to turn on the LED but as you see it will be dim.

Use dimmers that can control the brightness of the bulbs in the range of 5-99%, and the lamps, which can be switched on and off with a gradual onset, thereby saving bulb. With the dimmer in combination with wireless control, you can regulate the lighting even from the comfort of your sofa.
