whats up everyone its clay from howtoapps and right now im going to show you how to adjust the brightness of your screen and the brightness of your keyboard on your mac desktop or macbook laptop theres a couple different ways you could go about doing this and theyre each pretty quick and easy so it just kind of comes down to your personal preference and which one you get used to doing more but with that lets get right into it the first way im going to show you it can be found in system preferences and to get there first you need to click on the apple icon in the top left corner of your screen and in this menu click on system preferences once youre in system preferences go down to the very bottom row and on the far left side of that row youll see an icon that looks like a computer monitor and says displays click on that and here right away we are given a meter where we can adjust the brightness of our screen so if we go to the left make it dimmer go to the right make it bright

Making a Dark Picture Lighter Use the Brightness/Contrast or Levels tools to boost contrast and give your image a bit more punch. Then use the Vibrance or Hue/Saturation controls to restore a little of the lost color, should you need to. You should now have a bright, well exposed, and great-looking photo.
If your display is dark, check the brightness level, check that your Mac and display are turned on and not in sleep, and make sure cables are connected.
