To modify the legends appearance, complete the following steps: In the Contents pane, right-click the legend and click Properties. to open the Element pane. In the Element pane, select the tab containing the properties you want to change. Options tab. Adjust the properties as desired.
Double-click the legend to bring up the Legend Properties dialog box. Click the Legend tab on the Legend Properties dialog box. Right-click the item from Legend Items in which you want to edit and click Properties. Make your changes using the Arrangement and General tabs.
On the Options page, click on the Show properties button under Legend Items. Change the Patch Width and Height and the symbol items will size ingly. If you have a mix of points, lines, polygons, click on the point legend item in the contents pane.
Changing patches for a legend Right-click the legend in layout view and click Properties. Click the Legend tab on the Legend Properties dialog box. Click the Line or Area drop-down arrow in the Patch section to choose the patch shape. Optionally, change the height and width of the patch shape. Click OK.
Click Add Chart Element Legend. To change the position of the legend, choose Right, Top, Left, or Bottom. To change the format of the legend, click More Legend Options, and then make the format changes that you want.
Adjust the size of the legend Open the project in ArcGIS Pro. In the Contents pane, right-click Legend and click Properties to open the Element pane. In the Element pane, click Legend Placement. On the Placement tab, configure the Width and Height for Size. Apply the same measurement for all layouts.
Select your chart and on the Chart Design tab, choose Select Data. Choose on the legend name you want to change in the Select Data Source dialog box, and select Edit. Note: You can update Legend Entries and Axis Label names from this view, and multiple Edit options might be available.
