What is XML? The Extensible Markup Language (XML) is a simple text-based format for representing structured information: documents, data, configuration, books, transactions, invoices, and much more. To remove the header, go to Data Transformation Studio Project Properties XML Generation Uncheck Add XML processing instruction. This will remove the XML header.
