[Music] you [Music] hello this is Ryan again from field piece Im here to show you our customizable features on the brand-new s man set launched in spring of 2019 the s Man 3 ATV and the for ATV both have the same functionality so Im just going to show you the SMAN for a DB and the first feature Ill show you is auto power off so you just go to menu and then you scroll through the menu to get to APO or maybe its called to auto off yeah auto off and then Im gonna hit enter and now I just choose the time I could disable it completely 60 minutes down to 15 minutes so Im just gonna leave it out 15 right now hit enter and then it takes you back to the home screen so the next feature Ill show you is the display the backlight and so I just go back to menu and scroll to backlight hit enter and once again you can change it lets say I want to save battery so Im gonna make it 10 seconds and lets show you now the vacuum alarm so again menu scroll down to vac alarms hit enter and its going

An Amazon Machine Image (AMI) is a template that contains a software configuration (for example, an operating system, an application server, and applications). From an AMI, you launch an instance, which is a copy of the AMI running as a virtual server in the cloud.

What is the difference between AMI and instance?

An instance is a virtual server in the cloud. Its configuration at launch is a copy of the AMI that you specified when you launched the instance. You can launch different types of instances from a single AMI. An instance type essentially determines the hardware of the host computer used for your instance.

How do I create a custom AMI?

Log in to the AWS Management Console, display the EC2 page for your region, then click Instances. Choose the instance from which you want to create a custom AMI. Click Actions and click Create Image. Type a name for Image Name that is easily identifiable to you and, optionally, input text for Image Description.

Can we update an AMI?

To update an AMI, launch an instance and update its software. For that instance to have access to the AWS services that it needs, create an AWS Identity and Access Management (IAM) role with the correct permissions policies attached.

How do I update my AMI in EC2?

Update AMI Identify the current LC used for the ASG. Create a copy of the LC with an updated AMI. Navigate to AWS Console Services EC2 Auto Scaling Launch Configurations. Select a LC Copy launch configuration. Click Edit AMI. Click Create launch configuration. Edit the ASG and select the new LC.

What is the difference between AMI and instance snapshot?

Most basic difference between AMIs and snapshots are the type of services they are associated with. Snapshots are associated with EBS while AMIs are associared with EC2 instances. Snapshots are the backup of the data on EBS volumes, whereas AMIs are bootable copy of the whole EC2 instances.

Does creating an AMI stop an instance?

If Enable is cleared, when Amazon EC2 creates the new AMI, it reboots the instance so that it can take snapshots of the attached volumes while data is at rest, in order to ensure a consistent state. If Enable is selected, when Amazon EC2 creates the new AMI, it does not shut down and reboot the instance.

What is the difference between AMI and EC2 instance?

The EC2 is used for creating the virtual server instance. The AMI is the EC2 virtual machines image. ECS provides container services such as docker and the AWS lambda is used to run the code without a server.
