hi im anthony with by 2-way radios comm and this is radio 101 today were going to talk about changing the channels and privacy codes on the midland GX t1000 most radios you youre able to just go in and hit a channel up or channel down button and it changes those channels for you right off the bat consumer radios like Midland require one extra little step to do so here I have the midland GX t1000 powered on it shows that its on channel 1 if I want to get with the rest of the guys in the party you know search party whatever it is work to change and I need to get to channel 3 just pressing the up and down keys does not do that what you have to do is you hit the Menu key once that number 1 is now flashing go up to your channel 3 get to push the talk and now Im on channel 3 lets say that my the members in the in the group are using privacy codes to turn these privacy codes on youre going to use the Menu key again youre going to hit it twice this gives you the option of right now it
