To change formatting in a document, insert a section break at the beginning of where you want the change. Set up the formatting change just past the new section break. If you want to change formatting again, put in another section break. If your changes are to be on the same page, choose the Continuous section break.
If you have any other version of Word (Word 2010 or later), then we can always do it the long way. Display the Word Options dialog box. Click on File tab of the ribbon and then click Options. Click Advanced at the left side of the screen. In the File Types list, choose User Templates. Click the Modify button.

To align left, press Ctrl + L. To align right, press Ctrl + R. To align center, press Ctrl + C. To justify, Ctrl + J.
Press Ctrl + A. Press F9. If your document has tables with fields or formulas, you might need to select each table separately and press F9. Tip: To make sure that you dont forget to update your table of contents before you print the document, set Word to update fields automatically before printing.
In Word, the word processor may insert an extra hard return at the end of a new clause. To fix this, select the clause at the clause library and click Edit. The Clause Editor appears, where you can click Edit Clause Text. When your text appears, delete the extra hard return.
Procedure Open a contract in the Contract Editor or Word Editor. Select a language clause that you want to delete. If the clause does not have an approvals list, click Add/Remove Clause Delete Clause. If the clause has an approvals list, select the clause title, and press Delete on your keyboard.
Edit templates On the File tab, select Open. Double-click This PC. Browse to the Custom Office Templates folder under My Documents. Choose your template, and select Open. Make the changes you want, then save and close the template.
