The most common reasons for this error message are that the card is not being authorised by your bank or your address details do not match. Please ensure that your address is entered exactly as it appears on your bank statement, and that the card information is entered correctly.
Call the customer service number printed on the back of your credit card to change your information, or go to the customer service page on your credit card issuers website to change your information online. If your credit card is lost or stolen, call your issuers fraud hotline and provide as much detail as possible.
This indicates a problem with the information entered for the card. Double-check the credit card number, expiration date, and CVV. Ensure your address matches what is on file with your bank.
A common reason why your card hasnt worked for an online purchase is youve accidentally entered in the wrong card number, expiry date or CVV number. All it takes is one number to be wrong, which is an easy error to make.
For this, you must visit your banks nearest branch, submit a credit card mobile number change application form and a few KYC documents. After this, the bank staff will take care of your request. Once the issue gets resolved, you will receive a confirmation on your newly registered phone number.
Can I request a new debit card number? Generally, you cannot request a new debit card without a valid reason. If you were a victim of identity theft or the card was stolen, this re-issuance will have brand new information. However, some banks allow you to request specific digits on this new debit card.
Some common reasons that your credit card might get declined include having the cards credit limit maxed out, accidentally triggering the cards fraud protections and even entering incorrect payment information on a website.
An invalid card number means that the card is likely closed at the card issuing bank and is effectively an invalid card. If the cardholder says that the card is not closed, then the cardholder should contact the card issuing bank to resolve the issue.
