How to easily resize a photo in docHub Photoshop. Explore the Image Size dialog box. Adjust width and height or change an images resolution, measured by pixels per inch (PPI), by clicking Image Image Size. Choose your unit of measurement. Use the Export function. Get the quality just right.
Hover the mouse pointer over an object or region in your image you would like to select. Selectable objects and regions will be highlighted with an overlay color. To customize the hover overlay, select the gear icon in the Options bar and modify desired settings.
Select a selection tool, and do one of the following: Hold down Shift (a plus sign appears next to the pointer) to add to the selection, or hold down Alt (Option in Mac OS) to subtract (a minus sign appears next to the pointer) from a selection. Then select the area to add or subtract and make another selection.
Click the Create New Fill or Adjustment Layer button in the Layers panel, and choose the fill type you want to create. (The first three options listed in the panel are fill layers, the others are adjustment layers.) Choose Layer New Fill Layer [fill type]. In the New Layer dialog box, click OK.
Press Ctrl+T on Windows or Command+T on Mac to instantly access the Free Transform tool and bring up the sizing handles so you can adjust the size of your layer.
Do one of the following: Click the shape you want to transform, and then drag an anchor to transform the shape. Select the shape you want to transform, choose Image Transform Shape, and then choose a transformation command.
You just choose this tool (its the second tool from the top in the Toolbox, or press M) and select an area to work on by clicking-and-dragging a rectangle out over that area. Now, only that selected area will be affected by whatever you do to it (as seen here, where I drew a rectangular selection between the columns.
