You need to look in the lower right corner of the new email window where you will see a popup menu allowing you to select small, medium, large, or actual size image sizes. And only when it says Actual Size will the file be right.
On your Mac, in a Finder window or on the desktop, do any of the following: Compress a file or folder: Control-click it, then choose Compress from the shortcut menu. If you compress a single item, the compressed file has the name of the original item with the .zip extension.
By default, Mail inserts images at their actual size. If different sizes are available, you can choose one from the pop-up menu located on the right side of the message header.
Reduce a documents file size in Pages on Mac Choose File Reduce File Size (from the File menu at the top of the screen). Select the adjustments you want to make: Click one of the following buttons to apply the adjustments:
1) Open the Mail program on your Mac and choose an email containing an attachment. 2) Right-click on the attachment and select View as Icon. 3) The inline attachment has now been transformed into an icon:
In the Mail app on your Mac, do one of the following: For the current message: Choose Edit Attachments Insert Attachments at End. For all messages: From the Message viewer, choose Edit Attachments Always Insert Attachments at End of Message (a checkmark shows its on).
By default, Apples Mail app for Macs will show any attachments as an inline preview. This means that a large image will quickly fill up the mail window and make it difficult to navigate.
What are some tips to reduce the size of your email attachments without compromising quality? Compress your files. Resize or convert your images. Use cloud storage or file sharing services. Optimize your video or audio files. Use plain text or HTML format. Delete unnecessary attachments. Heres what else to consider.
