Heres how: Open the Accounting menu and select Chart of Accounts. Locate your account where the deposit is made then click on View register. Find and tap the transaction. Go to the Add funds to this deposit section and enter another item. On the Amount field, add the correction amount.
How do I delete a deposit? Go to the Banking menu. Select Use Register. From the Select Account drop-down, choose the account where the incorrect transactions were recorded. Click Ok. Locate the deposit transaction. Right-click on the deposit. Pick Delete Deposit. Click Ok to confirm.
How do I correct a deposit that was deposited in error? Click the + New button. Select the Bank Deposit. Choose the correct account where you want to put the money from the Account dropdown. Click Save and close or Save and new.
Go to Settings ⚙, then select Chart of accounts (Take me there). Find the bank account in the Chart of Accounts. From the Action column, select View register. Select the deposit, and select Edit to open it.
From the Customers menu, select Receive Payments. In the Receive Payments window, select the Previous button until you find the original payment. Select the Edit menu and select Delete Payment. Select OK to the warning: Are you sure you want to delete this transaction?, then Save Close.
How do I edit a payment that has already been deposited? Log in to your QBO account and click on the Gear icon. Select Chart of Accounts. Look for the bank account where the deposit is associated and click on View register. Find the deposit transaction and select Edit.
Item Receipts Open the item receipt. Go to the Reports tab, then select Transaction Journal. Click the Customize button. Set the appropriate reporting date. In the Columns menu, select the Item, Item Description, Qty, and Amount column. Hit OK.
