Mac OSX preview is the default viewer for PDFs and images and it can be a powerful tool to use to make changes and to add things to these types of files today I want to show you how you can add text to a PDF in this instance it could also be used the same way to add text to an image once you have your document open here I have a leave report youll want to click on this little icon here which it will open up the annotation toolbar from here if you want to add a text box if you want to say put your name and your Department in this file you would click on that little icon right there and then you merely click and drag and now this is fully a you know moveable if I need to move it down a little bit I can do that I can add the department over here so this can come in really handy especially for something like this a leave report where you can keep this filled out with your ID you can you know gives you a digital backup of you know your time off requests but this could also be used for any
