Got questions?

Below are some common questions from our customers that may provide you with the answer you're looking for. If you can't find an answer to your question, please don't hesitate to reach out to us.

Example: Referring to one of his co-workers, Sammy observes that [Stokesie] thinks he is going to be manager some sunny day (Updike 290). Explanation: We used quotation marks here because these are the exact words from Updikes text.
WRITE A COMPLETE SENTENCE STATING YOUR CLAIM OR OBSERVATION, and follow with a colon and the quotation. Example: Preston demonstrates that Director Lou Bellamy knows how to get the audience involved: members often call out involuntarily to charactersresponding to their queries and whims, offering advice and succor.
Quotations must never stand alone. Your own words must be part of the same sentence as the quotation. You might introduce quotations with state, claim, show, argue, or write. Enclose quotations in quotation marks to distinguish them from your own words. Note: all quotations require citations!
There are two ways we can integrate a quotation with an introductory clause: using the word that or using a comma. When using the word that to add an introductory clause to a quotation, you will usually begin with a citation or reference to the authors, include the word that, and then include the quotation.
The following general steps address how to properly integrate a quotation into an essay. Step 1: Introduce the Author of the Quotation. Step 2: State the Quotation. Step 3: Summarize the Quotation. Step 4: Analyze the Quotation. Step 5: State the Quotations Relevance to Your Argument.
How do you properly encode a single quote and in a URL? In a URL, you represent a single quote with a percent character followed by the two-digit hex code, %27 for single quote character.
You can do this by introducing the speaker or the source of the quote, explaining the context in which it was said or written, and/or providing some background information. Use quotation marks: Always use quotation marks around the quote to indicate that the words are not your own. This helps to avoid plagiarism.
A quote is not even a valid URL character, so I think long-term you should address this. It is specifically excluded from the URI syntax by RFC 2396. To solve the immediate problem though, youll need to escape the character, using %22 . If the URL contains a double quote then contain it with single quotes.
