How to Create Custom Buttons and Links in Salesforce Navigate to Setup. Go to Object Manager, then the object you want the button or link to live on. Select Buttons, Links, and Actions, then click New Button or Link. Give your button a name. Select the display type. Paste your URL into the formula editor.
Required Editions From Setup, in the Quick Find box, enter Custom URLs , and select Custom URLs. Click New Custom URL. For Domain, search for and select the custom domain. For Site, search for and select your store. For Path, enter the path to append to the custom domain to access your store. Click Save.
After you create a custom text field in an object, you must add the hyperlink to the custom text field. Use DataRaptor to render the hyperlink in the generated document. Open your object where you created the custom text field, and go to the Details tab.
In Salesforce Classic On the page where you add the content or the body of the HTML Email Template, highlight a text. Click the link icon on the Formatting Controls ribbon and enter the URL on the pop-up dialog box. Click OK to save the link. Click Save to save the template.
Add a Link to a URL Directly Within Your Salesforce Records Click on the gear icon in the upper right corner and click Setup. Click the Object Manager tab. Find the object you want to add the field to. In the left navigation click Fields Relationships. Click the New button. Find and click on the URL radio button. Click Next.
Create a Custom URL Field from the Object Manager Navigate to the Salesforce page that you want to create a custom field for, such as a customers Account page. Click the gear icon, and select Edit Object to go to Object Manager. On the left, click Field Relationships. Click New. Choose URL, then click Next.
Navigate to Setup Custom URLs New Custom URL and create the link between the Domain and the Experience Site it should point to. Go back to Setup Domains and click Activate next to your new Domain.
In Salesforce Classic Click the link icon on the Formatting Controls ribbon and enter the URL on the pop-up dialog box. Click OK to save the link. Click Save to save the template.
