okay guys so once you have all your documents together um now you have to serve them and theres another way that you can serve them so we talked about going to the courthouse the other way that you can do it is that you could go through a process server who will serve the documents for you and you wont have to do anything else there is a fee that youre gonna end up having to pay depending on um how um how quickly it could be done where the the server has to drive to the kilometers theres a lot of factors that factor into the price um but then you wont have to worry about doing the form 6B Affidavit of service the Canadian process server the process server that you get will have that responsibility but if youre going to do it I would suggest going to the courthouse having them commission everything file with the courthouse go serve the the representation of your ex partner and then go back to the courthouse and do the form 6B Affidavit of service and get it commissioned by the cou

An Affidavit of Service, also known as Proof of Service, is a legal document that serves as proof that someone received a legal document from another party.
This is called the affidavit of service. The person who served the documents has to complete Form 6B: Affidavit of Service and sign it in front of a commissioner. There are commissioners at the courthouse. Just ask the clerk at the family courthouse where you can find one.
