hi im danielle mcnamee managing director of processworks today i wanted to talk a little bit about disciplinary meetings and how you manage them this is a question we get all of the time what do you do when you feel you do need to discipline someone well if you want to go down a formal discipline path and that says if you want to perhaps give a verbal or written warning what we suggest you do is provide a letter to the employee to indicate that you want to invite them to a meeting we call this a notification of discipline meeting in that meeting you would highlight that they have the option to bring a support person you would give them 24 hours notice and you would indicate whether it was to do with their conduct or their performance once youve given them the letter you are allowed 24 hours before you have the meeting in the meeting make sure that you take the time to consider and hear what the employee has to say after you have provided information on what youre not happy about it
