hey everyone my name is olaf and today i will teach how you can quickly add and edit textures in blender as always its going to be quick and easy so lets get started okay start off by pressing x to delete the default cube then go to add mesh and lets add a monkey then press s to scale and then lets go into the modifiers add a subdivision surface modifier set the subdivisions to 2 and then apply the modifier lets also add smooth shading and then lets go into edit mode and open a new window and then lets go into uv unwrap and as you can see it comes with a default unwrapping and you can also unwrap it in other ways by pressing u for example unwrap or a smart unwrap but im going to use the default one so press ctrl c two times and lets use this unwrapping and uv mapping is a technique used to wrap 2d images onto a 3d mesh so lets open a image and you can download this image in the link below and then lets go back to blender open the image and as you can see we have the unwrapp
