how do you add text or number to an existing text column for example I have a list of all the employee names here and their corresponding job function and I want to combine it together so that whenever we see an employee name then we could know which job function they are coming from for example John King could be coming from the engineering department Richard Smith could be from the accounting department and Adam Goldston could be from marketing all right so how do we do that well there are two functions in Excel that will help us to do that one is using the concat function and basically what concat does is that it combines the value of two cells together so compcat Open Bracket first is C4 comma and then the second line of text is default all right close bracket and enter okay now so e n and jumping looks fine but I want to add a dash between EMG and John King so that it looks nicer so dont worry just go to concave and then uh double quote Dash close double quote and then default o
