[Music] hello everyone today I gonna show you how to remove or add service tag and asset tag on your Dell PC or laptops all what you need is USB flash drive with minimum 2 gigabytes Rufus tool to create bonneville USB and Dell support live image the links will be in the description once you downloaded Rufus and Dale live support image create on the desktop one new folder named for example del now run Rufus and click on yes now set boot selection to ISO image like select now adele support live image click on start now click ok and again ok and wait for creating bootable USB once is finish reboot your PC you while computer is restarting go to boot menu by pressing couple times f12 key now you should see boot menu so navigate to USB storage with arrow keys and press Enter now navigate to dos-based asset tag utility with arrow keys and press enter press again enter to clean log screen right CLS and press Enter change the working drive to see by typing see two dots and press Enter navigate

On Dell laptops, the Service Tag or Express Service Code label is on the bottom panel. Certain laptops such as the Dell XPS and Precision mobile workstations have a flap covering the label.
The Service Tag is available in the BIOS or UEFI of Dell computers. Turn on or restart the computer. At the Dell logo screen, press the F2 key several times to access the BIOS or UEFI interface. The Service Tag is available under the System Information or Overview section.
Asset Tag is either set by the system while creating an asset (editable) or added by the user while creating an asset. Serial number is a unique identifier provided by the manufacturer of the asset.
Method 4 - service tag from command line Select Start , type cmd, select Command Prompt. Wait for the command prompt window to open, then type wmic bios get serialnumber and press Enter. Send us the value displayed.
Electronic asset tagging A 10 character alphanumeric customer asset number can also be written into the system BIOS to allow system management software to remotely interrogate for identification. The number is not easily removed and provides an additional level of security.
Type cmd in the Windows search bar at the bottom-left of the screen, then select Command Prompt from the list of results. In the Command Prompt window, type wmic bios get serialnumber and press Enter. The Service Tag (Serial Number) appears as shown in the image below.

On laptops, the sticker will be on the bottom of the laptop; on tablets, this sticker will be on the back of the tablet; on all-in-one computers, this sticker will be on the back of the display; and on standard desktops, this sticker will be on the top of the computer case.
