From the Log Analytics workspaces menu, select Tables. Select Create and then New custom log (DCR-based). Specify a name and, optionally, a description for the table. You dont need to add the CL suffix to the custom tables name - this is added automatically to the name you specify in the portal.
Using SQL Server Management Studio In Object Explorer, connect to an instance of the SQL Server Database Engine, and then expand that instance. Right-click SQL Server Agent, and then click Properties. In the SQL Server Agent Properties dialog box, select the History page. Choose from the following options:
Adding Log Table. Start SQL Server Management Studio. In the Object Explorer, right-click on Databases / Northwind node, and press New Query. The query will create the DraftOrderLog table with two columns.
In Object Explorer, connect to an instance of the SQL Server Database Engine and then expand that instance. Expand Databases, right-click the database from which to add the files, and then click Properties. In the Database Properties dialog box, select the Files page. To add a data or transaction log file, click Add.
In SSMS, in Object Explorer, connect to the instance of Database Engine that contains the database to be modified. In Object Explorer, expand the Databases node and then expand the database that will contain the new table. In Object Explorer, right-click the Tables node of your database and then select New Table.
Every SQL Server database has a transaction log that records all transactions and the database modifications made by each transaction. The transaction log is a critical component of the database. If theres a system failure, youll need that log to bring your database back to a consistent state.
Procedure From the workbench menu bar, click Window Preferences Database Retrieval Parameters DB Retrieval Debug. To start logging SQL queries, click Yes. To stop logging SQL queries, click No. To view details of the SQL queries in the DB Retrieval Debug view, click Open Debug View, then click OK.
Start SQL Server Management Studio. In the Object Explorer, right-click on Databases / Northwind node, and press New Query. The query will create the DraftOrderLog table with two columns. Column OrderID will record the ID of the draft order, and column Created will reflect the date when the order was logged.
