What is 10 in Binary? We can represent the decimal number 10 in the binary system as 1010, i.e. (10)10 = (1010)2.
Binary addition is the operation of summing numbers in binary form. It works like a normal (decimal) addition, but the number can have only zeros and ones as digits, so if the sum exceeds 1, you must carry 1 to the next bit. For example, 101 + 101 = 1010 .

The syntax for the function is BIN2DEC(binary), where binary is the binary number you want to convert. The function returns the decimal number equivalent to the binary number. Therefore, 255 in binary is 11111111. The step before any power of 2 is a string of 1s. Just like 9 comes before 10 in decimal, 1 comes before 10 in binary.
Adding 0 and 1, we get 1 (no carry). That means the last digit of the answer will be one. Then we move one digit to the left: adding 1 and 1 we get 10. Hence, the answer is 101.
