hello everyone welcome back so in the last episode we were able to even go further into react to explore the concept of props and states and yeah moving on we are going to start working with our circuit service now so were just going to go with the second point which is to integrate our socket service so we want to ensure that at least we are connected and we are able to use it all right so back in our code we currently have this snippets from the one from the last episode where we were able to see how to use states and drops so for the case of what we are going to be achieving today we need another concept called contests so with the introduction of reactos we also get to see the context react context so initially we tend to use readers to manage our states however with context we can just make use of context instead of installing a third party library to help us do that so were going to look into context and see how we can achieve our aim with it so lets lets try and create some

State can hold any kind of JavaScript value, including objects. But you shouldnt change objects that you hold in the React state directly. Instead, when you want to update an object, you need to create a new one (or make a copy of an existing one), and then set the state to use that copy.
To declare state using React Hooks, we need to use the useState hook. The useState hook accepts a parameter which is the initial value of the state. In class-based components, state is always an object.
To make the state change, React gives us a setState function that allows us to update the value of the state. Calling setState automatically re-renders the entire component and all its child components. We dont need to manually re-render as seen previously using the renderContent function.
Changing the state Object To change a value in the state object, use the this. setState() method. When a value in the state object changes, the component will re-render, meaning that the output will change ing to the new value(s).
So, rule of thumb, never put JSX in the state, or even outside the render cycle.
In React, the state is immutable. In simple terms it means that you should not modify it directly. Instead a new object should be created to set the state using setState .
setState(state) = Self. A method to invoke setState() on the root component instance similar to how you might in the definition of the component, and re-renders. This method is useful for testing your component in hard to achieve states, however should be used sparingly.
The most common way to set state in React Native is by using Reacts setState() method. We also have the Context API to avoid prop drilling and pass the state down many levels without passing it to individual children in the tree.
We have to set initial state value inside constructor function and set click event handler of the element upon which click, results in changing state. Then pass the function to the click handler and change the state of the component inside the function using setState.
Bonus: Important JSX Rules You can only return one top-level element from a given component. Some elements in HTML do not have a closing tag. A React component must be capitalized. To include JavaScript expressions in JSX, you need to wrap them in curly braces. The term class is a reserved keyword in JavaScript.
