Braintechya in Microsoft Edge web browser on desktop includes a tool called web select, which is a simplified version of web capture. Web select allows users to select and copy portions of web pages for future reference. However, in the stable version of Edge, web select is not available for use on PDF documents, unlike web capture. In the preview version, Edge Canary, Microsoft has started to make web select available for use on PDF files.

Instead, it contains scanned text, which is essentially an image of the text. In this case, you wont be able to highlight, underline, strikethrough, or edit this text in any way.
