You can update an AMI image pipeline using a JSON file as input to the update-image-pipeline command in the AWS CLI. To configure the JSON file, you must have Amazon Resource Names (ARNs) to reference the following existing resources: Image pipeline to update. Image recipe.

By default, a load balancer routes requests to its targets using the protocol and port number that you specified when you created the target group. Alternatively, you can override the port used for routing traffic to a target when you register it with the target group.
A target group tells a load balancer where to direct traffic to : EC2 instances, fixed IP addresses; or AWS Lambda functions, amongst others. When creating a load balancer, you create one or more listeners and configure listener rules to direct the traffic to one target group.
Create a target group In the Amazon EC2 console, in the navigation pane, choose Target Groups. Choose Create target group. For Target group name, enter a name. For Target type, choose Instance or IP. For VPC, choose the VPC that you want to attach to your target group. Choose Create.
