PDFs are great for keeping documents properly formatted and preventing easy editing. They are perfect for documents that need to be signed because a properly formatted PDF is hard to tamper with. If you're on Mac OS and need to sign a PDF, you can use the built-in Preview app to add your signature. First, find and open the PDF you need to sign in the app. Click on the show marker toolbar icon and select the signature icon to create and save your signature. You can use your laptop's trackpad, built-in webcam, or an iPhone or iPad for input. If using the trackpad, select the option and click the text as prompted then sign your name using your finger. If you have a Force Touch trackpad, press more firmly for a thicker stroke. Once signed, tap any key and click done to create a signature using your webcam.
